Jorvik Physiotherapy is run by Jeroen Suur, a fully-qualified Chartered Physiotherapist.

Jeroen studied in Arnhem, Holland where he gained a BSc degree in Physiotherapy in 1994. He has been working as a physiotherapist in the UK for 13 years, the last 5 of which he has been based in York. His experience includes working in NHS Hospitals, Army medical centres and private practice.

In 2000, Jeroen studied part-time for a MSc Degree in Human Physiology. He chose his thesis to be on motion analysis and carried out his research at the Institute of Human Performance (UCL). Completing this course has helped Jeroen to better understand the way our bodies respond to injury and painful disorders. Part of his role as a physio is to convey that information to others to help them manage their particular condition.

He is registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice (Physiofirst).

His wife Janet is also a fully-qualified Physiotherapist who gained a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy at Brunel University (1995).
